Gabriele Agostini
Biography
In 1997, after years of photographic activity, he was among the founders of the Adams Experimental Centre of Photography.
Lecturer at the same in masters and in the two-year professional school.
Creator and Artistic Director of the cultural event CascinafarsettiArt -photography and beyond- annual visual arts review.
Founder of the KromArt art gallery.
Numerous curatorships of photographic exhibitions and art events over time.
Italian curator in May 2015 at the Museum of Rome in Trastevere of the international exhibition Czech fundamental, the first exhibition in Italy on Czech avant-garde photography from 1920 to the present day.
He is curator of numerous authors including: Gaia Adducchio, Eliska Barteck, Luisa Briganti, Jean Marc Caimì, , Linda De Nobili, Roberta Marsigli, Nour Shems Melehi, Benedetta Montini, Marika Saonari, Paola Serino, Pino Bertelli, Tano D’Amico, Tomeu Coll, Paola Tornambè, Katia Rossi, and many others.
In 2016, he participated in the first edition of the Art Biennale of the city of Perugia.
He has been curator of the international photography exhibition Prague Photo since 2016.
In 2017 he is the creator and curator of the photographic exhibition ’77’ – a history of forty years ago in the works of Tano D’Amico and Pablo Echuarren’ exhibited at the museum in Rome in Trastevere.
In the same year he edited the book ‘Il Piombo e le Rose’ published by Postcart.
In 2018 at the Museo di Roma in Trastevere he collaborated on the exhibition Josef Sudek. Topography of Rubble. Prague 1945.
Author of texts and research.
He carries out his professional activity mainly in the production of I.R. and UV. art and photography catalogues for galleries and cultural heritage.
