Biography
Alessia Locatelli is the Artistic Director of the Biennale della Fotografia Femminile –BFF and co-director of the Enrico Cattaneo Archive.
She is an independent curator involved in organizing exhibitions with institutions and private entities in Italy and abroad. Simultaneously, she continues her work in project design and consulting.
Locatelli contributes to many specialist magazines and is acritical reference for the Photography Dossier of “CAM, catalogo di arte moderna” (formerly Bolaffi), published by Editoriale Giorgio Mondadori –Gruppo Cairo. She teaches at photography schools and collaborates as a lecturer and visiting professor with universities.
Locatelli participates in international juries and awards, including the British Journal of Photography, and serves as a folio-reviewer and curator at various Photo Festivals such as Les Rencontres d’Arles. She is also a Nominator for the prestigious Prix Pictet.
She is involved in designing and assisting authors in selecting papers and mounting materials for preservation.She isa consultant in the field of photographic collecting.
